The
Tuscumbia Utilities Board was created by an act of the Legislature of the
State of Alabama in 1948. The act provides for a three member Board who are
appointed by the City Council of the City of Tuscumbia, Alabama for nine
year staggered terms. The act also provides for a Chairman, who is elected
by the other board members on an annual basis. The remaining two are
considered associate members. The Board has the responsibility of the
electric, water, and natural gas systems as well as the water and wastewater
plants. |
